Bored, bored, bored...Boredboredboredbored.

*whines pitifully*

Also, the bosslady left early Mon w/ sickness, was out Tuesday, left early today.  Bossman left early Tuesday to head for Europe, out the rest of the week traveling to other offices.  Which means I am a target for more possible illness, and at the mercy of the rest of the company in trying to pick up some of the slack.

Also, there may be no Spuffy fic in the entire universe I have not already read.  Blah.  And my own is giving me a headache.

In a final bit of whining, today is one of those days when I hate being female.  Because, obviously the universe hates me.

Our copier has been jamming a lot (and not in the fun, reggae way, either) lately.  This causes two major problems for me.  One, I copy thousands of pages of phone bills every month, and the jams make the entire process longer and more ridiculous than it needs to be.  Two, the copier is right behind my desk, so if it jams for anyone else, there end up being people milling around behind me, checking out what's on my desk (which is often confidential) as they whine and try to fix the copier.  Then I get pressed into service as Junior Copier Repair Gal.

The copier service tech comes in twice a week to 'make sure the machine is operating optimally'.  Yeah, that's a massive fail.  So, I spend lots of time describing to this guy what has gone wrong with the machine since I last saw him, and learning how to fix it.

Today, when the repair guy stopped by, he told me he discussed some of our copier woes with another technician.  The response he got was "The copier isn't at it's best when it copies anything other than 8 1/2" by 11".  Tell her to stop copying so many off-sized pages."

Yeah, umm, why don't I just call the phone company and tell them they have to change their paper size because my copier doesn't like their little papers. I'll get right on that.

That I really, really hate writing Giles?

Any thoughts/suggestions/yelling at me because I decided to do something I hate doing?

Heifer International (you all know who they are, I suppose; they donate livestock to the very poor, to improve quality of life and enable families to have an income) sent me an unprovoked 26-page glossy catalog.  I can give a Llama for $150!  A whole Llama.

But, my question to them is: how much money did they spend taking the pictures in the catalog (including lots of pics of celebrity supporters), printing the catalog on this nice glossy paper which makes it unfit to be kindling come the cold weather, and mailing it to people.  And how many animals could they have bought with that money?

If you're reading anything I'm writing at the moment, and you don't wanna be spoiled; or you don't read my fic and don't give a rat's ass, don't bother looking under the cut.

[personal profile] lilachigh  requested a drabble on the 5th (OMG, forever ago), and I hope to finish that by the end of the week.  I know where I need to get, just having a hard time getting there.

And, in my continuing tradition of starting things a million years before I ever begin posting them, I wrote two pages of the 4th story in the series that begins with 'Hole in My Pocket' and continues with 'Fade Away Again'.  And they're not the first two pages, either.  *sigh*

If anyone has some free time coming up, I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at FAA 14.  Just let me know if you have time, and I'll send you the small pile of crap I have currently.

Sorry to everyone who looked at that post about the nachos and went 'huh?'.  There was supposed to be a picture to go with it, and then it would have been much more amusing.  You know, to me.

Pics will probably not go up until sometime tomorrow; I don't want to miss a posting time fussing with the cameraphone.  Next time, I'll just bring the real camera.

I enjoy writing, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I wish I had another creative pursuit that attracted me as much.  Say, weaving, or tap dancing, or even baking.  I mean, bakers don't get baker's block, do they?  That said, I managed to write a couple of paragraphs last night, which I consider a huge success.  Not sure how good they are, but at least they're words typed into the computer, which is more than I had.

And nothing is being helped by my rampant paranoia.  It's gotta be two years or more since I went through a bout like this; where I'm just convinced that the world is against me, in the evil-plotting way.  Oh, and by the way, every conversation in a given room, where I hear the word 'she' spoken in a low voice...It's about me, and how much I suck.  Fun, right?  The best thing for it is medication, but there are other issues keeping me off meds right now, so I'm going to have to work it out with diet changes and meditation.  There are herbal remedies, but I'm alergic to many of them.

I'm very excited to see Friday around the corner; some weeks, five days just seem like too many to work.

So, I sat here for at least 20 minutes, and poured my heart out.  I touched on my work frustrations, my feelings of creative suffocation, the upcoming traditional sporting event, and my writing and the path it's taken in the last two weeks, and how I feel like I'm deserting my fans at the moment with my complete inability to be in any way creative or organized.

Livejournal deleted it all, then recovered a blank page.

I have no clue why that happened.  And it's really kind of 'grrr' making.  But, let's face it, it wasn't interesting to anyone other than me, anyway.  So, no great loss.  Not that I think anything else here is really fascinating, but, you know.

So, I'm just gonna go find something else to do, now.  More later, since this is one of the few things I can write at the moment.
