I finally calmed down a little after my Saturday rant and realized I was being a brat, and got over it.  Thanks to all for not calling me on it.

So, I actually wrote a little this weekend.  FAA 15 is under construction once again!  Was wondering if anyone has time to read it over for me.  If you have a few minutes, please let me know.  And specifically, if you have any input on how a teenager's speech pattern would shape up if she were raised partially in the UK and partially in the US, I would appreciate being allowed to pick your brain.

Also, I got an awesome toy this weekend; an electronic bubble wrap keychain!!  Yeah, you knew I was a dork, right?  It's not like I was fooling anyone around here...

Still wondering if I should risk the fickle muse by forcing myself to work on other documents, or if I should just stick with the one that I'm most desparate to finish and put what little time and energy I have into that.  We'll see.

And I really need to stop calling it the interweb, before I do so in front of the wrong person, and humiliate myself.  Could go back to calling it the 'information super-hallway', but that's too long.

Anyway...Still having issues with the wireless, but I've come up with a work-around that doesn't involve 17 trips a night up and down the hallway, so it's okay.  Just annoying.

I was wandering the web today, as I often do, and came across this http://www.badiadesign.com/item.jsp?category=62 Makes me feel like a little kid..."Mommy, can we put a big gaudy tent in the living room?  It'll be the best thing ever!  We can camp inside!  And smoke hooka!"  Okay, so the hooka thing is less little kid, but I'm fascinated by the indoor tent thing.  Of course, it's WAY too expensive, and I kinda dig the non-tent decorations we have right now; most of which would have to be hocked to pay for said tent, but...A tent in the living room!!

I don't actually remember what happened last night.  I know I went home, and didn't go out anywhere.  I know I finished the Buffy/Veronica Mars crossover story I was reading (I SO blame Kate for that).  I know I watched a Scrubs rerun, and the DVR'd 'Top Design' from the previous night.  But, I got home around 6, and I can't really figure out what I did with all the time, you know?

'Top Design' should be interesting; except...Is it me, or does Todd Oldham remind you of the Buffy-bot?  He's very fake-cheerful and modulated when he speaks.  And of course, that could be because he's gone to a public speaking coach, but still, he sounds more robotic than C3-PO.

Wow, I should take the Geek Test again, the above paragraph is a sad commentary on the state of my pop-culture accumen.  Or lack therof.

There is something to be said for the whole 'geeks are taking over the world' movement, in my opinion.  Because, seriously, how interesting and creative are the people who only watch network TV and the most popular movies?  Mainstream in boring, and if everyone else on the planet thinks it's lame that my roommate and I have been arguing for years about whether Buffy and Reilly should have dated, than so be it.  At least I'm not boring.

Not that there's anything wrong with mainstream.  Boring and mindless can be nice, sometimes.  [Deleted long-ass rant about "Alternative Programming" and the 'new golden age of television'.  And trust me, we're all better for it.]  So, anyway, I'm a geek, go me, in all my geekiness.
