Evidently the evening receptionist, who doesn't have to deal with the managing partner or the CEO and their issues with how my desk area looks, decided to set up some cheesy plastic mail trays after I left last night. At first, I thought it might be the interim office manager who wanted them there, but when she got in she asked me to remove them, and was actually upset that they were there. As was I.
This is the same woman who moves reams and reams of paper onto my desk, so that she can print her sons' home schooling worksheets from the office, then smiles and nods when other people talk about conserving paper. And, she stole a guest key card to let the former office manager into the building; I had to get someone to de-activate it when I noticed it was gone.
Some days I'm really bored here, and think I need to find a more challenging job; then there are days like today, where there are challenges starting at ten of eight, and I think, gosh the boredom was nice.
