Very Sad...In A Funny Way...

I bought a book, just before I gave in and bought the Kindle...A paperback supernatural fantasy, that was recommended to me both by Amazon and by a friend.   I was thinking this morning, that maybe I would leave the Kindle at home and bring a paperback and my iPod to work.  Just for a change, and to give my thumbs a rest from pressing the 'page turning' bars.

I can't find the book.  I found an extra umbrella, a bottle of orgeat syrup I thought was in storage, and my velvet boots.  No book.  Or, at least not the book in question.  I found my copy of Invisible Man, though.  Not that I was in the mood to read it.

Stupidity: It's not just for other people anymore...

Remember how I've been mentioning on and off for several months that my documents are all trapped in my failing laptop,  which has no internet accessability so that I can e-mail the files to myself, or at very least store them as Google Docs?

Last night when I was loading mp3's onto the Kindle, it occurred to me - why didn't I just load my word docs onto the Kindle, then hook it up to another computer?  Well, of course, this is a great idea (provided I can get it to work when I try it).  

And then I realize that I could have done the same thing months ago with my iPod.  *headdesk*
