Books - 2009
Sep. 16th, 2009 10:38 amA few of the books I've read so far this year, in order as far as I can remember it:
Everyone Worth Knowing, By: Lauren Weisberger
Out of This World (Anthology)
On the Road, The Original Scroll, By: Jack Kerouac
A Hidden Beauty, By: Jamie Craig
Kitty and the Midnight Hour, By: Carrie Vaughn
Fairyville, By: Emma Holly
I was Told There'd Be Cake, By: Sloane Crosley
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, By: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Bone Crossed, By: Patricia Briggs
Hunting Ground, By: Patricia Briggs
Also some other erotica, but I don't think that counts as part of this list. These books were read on my Kindle, hopefully I'll get to listing the 'hard copy' books soon. And I am in the process of three right now, one was very dry and I had to take a break, another was kind of serious, so then I started a lighter story, and... Well, we all know how these things happen.
Total books completed so far this year: 13

Date: 2009-09-16 02:54 pm (UTC)You've finished a nice collection of books. How do you like the Kindle? I'd have to agree with the erotica category of books... while sometimes the most engrossing read, can't really be included in the same list as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I'm currently in a classics kick. I finished Gone with the Wind a few weeks ago (finally!) I'm half-way through Pride & Prejudice. And slowly reading Mark Twain's short stories. In the midst of all that, I fed the habit last night and bought Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol yesterday. I now have about 100 pages left to complete the book. It should come with some kind of disclaimer of "Do not read unless reader has no responsibilities to fulfill until completing the book." Or something like that.
