Wardrobe Thoughts

So, I went to put on a pair of the shoes that I keep in my desk (I usually wear sneakers on the way in) and I realized that without the intention to do so, I had dressed myself up like some type of stereotypical "Secretary" china doll.

The evidence: hair in a bun, horn-rim glasses, polo shirt, flowered cotton skirt in below-the-knee length, white tights, satin shoes with bows.

I think there may be something fundamentally wrong with my wardrobe.

I wonder if people could get away with dressing like Maggie Gyllenhal's character in "Secretary". I kinda want to rock seamed sheer pantyhose and pencil skirts to work.

One of the women in my office wears stuff like that, but she's a VP. Now I'll have to look for pictures from 'Secretary'...

That sweater set is a special type of hideous, whether or not you are a doll. Do secretaries in other offices actually dress like that anymore, or is that meant to be super old-school. I wonder if her skirt is long enough to pass the SMRH dress code.

I think I'm thinking about this too much.

But to some guys that's a huge fantasy -- you probably developed a fan base that day.
