For a quick progress report on National Novel Writing Month, Willow_25 style!

That first idea I spoke of yesterday, that I hated?  I trashed it, and started over.  I'm working now on a new-old idea, which I started around 3 yesterday afternoon.

Back in 1999 (go ahead, laugh at this part) I started a novel.  I didn't work on it much, but I thought about it a lot.  I moved it from computer to computer, and kept a copy on disk.  Well, disks went the way of the dodo, and I lost the file on my hard drive during what has since been dubbed "The Great Computer Crash of 2005".

So, I'm re-starting that.

I don't think I've talked to anyone who *hasn't* lost data somewhere along the way. One of my early novels is still on floppy disk; I need to get it off of there, before I end up having to type the whole thing again from scratch -- and that's assuming I can find my printed copy!
