Cheesecake!

willow_25Saturday I had some of the girls over for dinner. This involved, among other things, the making of a cheesecake from scratch. I even made chocolate ganache to put on top. Go me! I did dessert and appetizers and a salad to go with dinner, Celeah made a lasagna as the main course. Then we all watched 'Arsenic and Old Lace', which is just one of the best comedies ever made. A good time was had by all.
Sunday I caught up on the week's TV, and washed the kitchen floor. I still can't figure out if the black spots on the floor were from the chocolate graham cracker crust, or from someone dragging mud in on their shoes. Maybe a little of both?
And, as of this weekend it's official: my sewing machine is busted; I have to order a new one, and rush to finish my costume at the last minute. I thought about just buying a costume, but then I'd still have no sewing machine, so I'm going to continue the DIY Halloween Route.
That's about all that happened this weekend, other than the pre-dinner grocery shopping with roomie1, which was just grocery shopping - although it very awesomely included a ride to and from the store.
