The first romance novelist I ever read, I have followed her books since middle school.  Her amazing attention to detail, and original plots in a genre where originality is so often lacking, will be missed.  Ms. Woodiwiss passed away this past Thursday.

If you've never read her work, I recommend picking up 'A Rose in Winter' and/or 'Shanna'.

It's one of my favorites. Evidently, there's one last book due out in October, also, that was finished and with the editor.

I've heard of her, but never read her books. Perhaps I should pay tribute by selling some books to take her place? I'm with her on the original plot thing.
