Cake!

First roommate (I'm second roommate, we also have a third roommate) is a pastry chef.  She baked two cakes for a going away party yesterday, to layer them, then changed her mind and only used one.  So, we have cake!  And, in the grand Gentile family tradition, I'm eating it for Breakfast.  Sure, dessert for breakfast is supposed to be a special occasion thing; but Blogathon is a special occasion, right?  RIGHT?

It's very good cake.  I think it's out of a box, but somehow mine never taste like that.  Perhaps even boxed cake needs the touch of a skilled desert maker to be at its best.

I'm more the dinner person; as I discovered last weekend, even though I've been a vegitarian for 9 years, I can even cook meat well.  Needless to say, I played Lady Macbeth for most of that evening, but it made my parents happy that I didn't  force-feed them tofu.

LOL...cake for breakfast is a time-honored tradition in my family. With a mother who can cook like mine, it's hard *not* to want the leftover cake 24/7

Cake for breakfast belongs to all. It's simply too good a think to keep to oneself. ( c; Congratulations on the success of your Shakespearean cooking. My chicken mole went over pretty well, too.
