willow_25I don't usually share my poetry in a public forum, because I think most of it sucks, frankly. But, elkormentioned that he liked this one, so I thought I'd throw it out into space, and see if anyone else had thoughts. I think of it as more of a 'country song in need of a melody' than a poem, but whatev. Enjoy!

The caring stopped long time ago,
Maybe it's me, but I think you're hurting,
Wish you'd stop and tell me why.

Laugh with me, laugh,
Like you used to do.
Maybe it's me, but I think you're leavin',
Maybe it's me, but you long to go,
Hear your footsteps growing softer,
As you head on towards the door,
But maybe that's just me.
