Is it Friday, yet?

willow_25Somehow, even though my boss approved overtime for me this morning, and I went to bed at a sorta decent hour last night, I was almost late to work. I could blame Metro, or insomnia, or that idiot Bush for getting me all angry and riled up last night...Well, what the heck, I'll blame all three.
The State of the Union was actually a disapointment, in terms of having quality anger-generating points. So much of it was old hat, 'I've been pissed off about this for years now' type stuff. I love the fact that I got an e-mail today praising his 'new' environmental initiatives, when they're eerily similar to the environmental initiatives in his first and second addresses.
We did, however, manage to throw $10.50 in change at the TV, which I donated to the DNC's "Down-payment on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" initiative this morning. Anyone who did not throw change at their TV last night, I encourage you to invest in political real estate of your choice. If, for example, some democrats could put their cash into the Connecticut governor's mansion, I'd consider it a personal favor.
I'll stop with the politics now, since I usually just manage to upset myself.
I had some posting issues yesterday afternoon, so we'll see what I get done today, between work stuff and actually writing. I certainly won't be distracted by reading, since the book I've been reading on the Metro is far to engrossing to read at my desk, and the fanfic world seems to have universal writer's block at the mo'.
