Eurovision 2011 Videos, Part 2
May. 13th, 2011 11:00 pmFor some reason, the Albania video was showing up when I put the entry together, but not when I went to post it. Just in case my rather notorious (lack of) html skills are to blame, I am not embedding any more videos tonight. Drinking and coding do not mix, my friends.
So, commentary and some Youtube links, shall we?
Serbia: If it were 1968, this would be groundbreaking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAdNBCq-ueE
Russia: Yeah, I know the thought of a guy’s buddy videotaping while I have sex with him in the toilet sure gets me hot. Also, check the outfits. If there is a stereotypical ‘clubbing’ look that is not featured in this video, I can’t think of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNfiDDWEa2o
Malta: I really don’t know what gets me more, the fact that the dancers look like they’re having so much fun and the singer looks so jaded, the fact that all that dancing and neon has little if nothing to do with the lyrics, or the fact that the song itself is so bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIa_QV-LM8g
Turkey: I actually get a kick out of this video, because as much as I like some classical music, this is what I kind of wish would happen when I go to a classical concert. The poor conductor looks so confused. The song itself, needs some serious help. Must be the English translation. Why are all of these videos in English anyway? I’m sure the songs suffer for it. Also, I kind of want to smack the wardrobe person on this one. It looks like everyone was dressed in a costume, so there must be a point, but damn if I can find it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWveF_eUH5A&playnext=1&list=PL58A990B5587C7B76
