willow_25Yeah, so I signed up for a couple of X-Files communities, in anticipation of the new movie. And man, how fondly do I remember my Files. It wasn't my first fandom, but it has by far been the most consistent in holding my attention, and in making me nostalgic for RL fandom wackiness.
I've never done anything even remotely shady or daring in my frenzy to meet a member of the Buffy or Angel casts...For Gillian Anderson I cased a hotel, had people stationed at all the entrances and exits, and when we missed her entering (because, as it turns out, she was already inside) I sat in the hotel lobby for two hours working up the courage to crash the event she was attending.
Not that I'm proud of that. *AHEM*
I'm starting to get really excited, and aprehensive about the whole movie thing. We'll see what happens. In the meantime...X-Files icons are all over LJ!!! WOOO!!!
