What Happened This Morning
Feb. 27th, 2007 12:03 pm> The very cool house I looked at on Sunday said 'no, thanks' to having me live there.
> My boss, evidently having nothing better to do, harassed my co-workers to get someone to cover the Front Desk for me, then re-arranged my cube to her liking. She even gave me four additional in-boxes, and labeled all 5 of them!
> I did, in between watching my boss run about like a mad hellion, manage to get nearly caught up on months of Corporate Services invoices. This is one of those fun tasks that has been part of my job for a year, but that I'm not supposed to perform in public view, so the papers sit in the corner until they get too far behind, then I am banished to a cube to deal with them.
> Invoices are caught up, which is the most boring job responsibility I have, but really the most time consuming. Other than answering the phones, which is its own special brand of Hellmouth.
> I sent out another 50 e-mails about places to live. Another open house tonight; we'll see how it goes. I'm freaking out that I'll end up in a cardboard box, or sleeping under my desk; truly massive wigging, etc..
Not bad 3 and a half hours, I guess.

Date: 2007-02-27 07:21 pm (UTC)As far as apartment hunting goes, I found that I had more luck dealing with leasing agents of apartment complexes rather than craigslist ads. Although, I did get my apartment in VA via Craigslist...and that was an absolute horror.
But yeah, things will look up!
