The last week has been a train wreck, and it totally feels like it's been a month since I posted here, not a week. Sorry I haven't been posting to talk about it (or calling, for those of you I speak to on the phone) but there has just been too much going on and I am too stressed.  Unless it's recruiters, I haven't been answering phone calls or e-mails, let alone making the time to write and comment on stuff.  Sometimes, late at night, I read.  Mostly when I can't sleep.

This will probably be the last time for a while that I will post, but I just wanted to let everyone know, since it has been over a week, that I am not dead.  I have been reading, like I said, so if you come across a story/fic/news article you think I might like, let me know, I could use the cheering up.

Oh, and the economy blows, in case you hadn't noticed.

Yes, the economy both sucks and blows. I've been expecting a major downturn for years -- actually, I predicted a major recession in January of 2003, so I'm only surprised it took this long.
