Bad grammar aside, I'm doing pretty well lately.  Today is the last day at the temp gig, but they have requested me back for three days next week to cover a different desk.  I also have three interviews set up for Monday and Tuesday of next week, and I am trying to set up a fourth, but it seems like the fourth one may fall through.  I'm crossing my fingers, that position seems like a better fit than some of the others.  Although one of the others is at an event company, so that would go hand in hand with trying to launch my own event planning business.

This weekend I'll be up at my parents' house. A bunch of my dad's cousins will be coming for a visit and my sister-in-law is bringing the kids to visit also, so it will be a house filled with mayhem.  I'm hoping that at some point in the next couple of days I have enough time and energy to clean my bathroom, because it's pretty nasty in there at the moment.  If I do it tonight after work, I can take my bathroom rugs to my parents' house and wash them (I've been abusing laundry privileges since losing my job; bring my own detergent and stuff the same as I would for the laundry room, but don't have to pay $3.).

So, anyway, that's where we're at.  At the moment I'm still feeling good mentally, but a little meh physically.  Probably because I've been driving to the train instead of walking, and I canceled my gym membership.  Can't wait to get a new job, so I don't have to think anymore about ways to cut corners.

I have some questions about Radio in/around London; anyone willing to answer them, or refer me to a web resource?

What I want to know is: What do you call a radio station that plays older music such as early Rolling Stones and the Beatles, would that still be classic rock like we call it in the states, or is there another term?  What radio station in London would be most likely to play The Smiths?  Which station would play the newest pop or dance music?  Is radio in London mainly 'genre' radio like we have here (classic rock, new music, r&b, easy listening/light pop, dance/techno, etc) or do you have what we call independent or 'format-free' radio stations?  Also, I assume that radio stations everywhere hold contests for concert tickets and/or sponsor music festivals, but would any of the stations be likely to encourage community activity or charity work?

Thanks in advance.
